Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office to release phone app

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says it is launching a phone app.
According to the department, MCSO Mobile will provide the public with several services including:
- Access to the directory, inmate locator, MCSO website, Facebook, Twitter and news releases
- Ability to pay parking/traffic citations
- Receive real-time alerts (Amber Alerts, crime alerts, etc)
- Two-way confidential crime tip communication
MCSO says the app can be downloaded for free through the Apple App Store. MCSO Mobile will be eventually be available to Android phone users.
The department says the app has been in development for four years.
