MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department wants you to know they're taking all the precautions when it comes to COVID-19.
They say they'll have full protective gear if they're called to a scene.
The department says that's as much for the firefighters as it is for the people they serve.
"We don't want to be bringing COVID or any other type of germs into your home. And so that's why we're wearing this, so that if one of us has that on us, we don't want to be contaminating you."
The department says they are following all of the CDC guidelines and says they're fully staffed.
MFD also shared a YouTube video Monday reminding the public to stay safe and stay home when possible.
