Skate Milwaukee provides competition experience⛸️
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ahead of the Republican National Convention this summer, the City of Milwaukee is establishing new rules and protocols for people planning to demonstrate during the week-long event.
On Wednesday, March 20, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson signed the Common Council's plan, saying dozens of time slots will be created, as well as designated areas for demonstrations and marches.
Not everything is set in stone, however, Johnson says decisions haven't been made where exactly those demonstrations will be held just yet.
"That is still not decided yet. We're still in conversations with our partners over at Milwaukee County to decide on which areas are going to be the most appropriate area for demonstration and parade route. So, we don't know that just yet," said Johnson.
Registration for time slots will be made tomorrow at noon for anyone who wants to demonstrate. Those registrations can be applied for here.
