Man, 72, killed after crashing into house in Waushara County
WAUSHARA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 72-year-old man was killed in a crash on Monday afternoon.
The Waushara County Sheriff's Department was called to STH 21 near CTH X around 2:15 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a house.
According to the Sheriff's Department, a Dodge Ram was traveling westbound on STH 21 when it began to pass a farm tractor. The Dodge Ram's passenger side mirror made contact with the rear drivers side tire of the farm tractor.
According to the Sheriff's Department, the Dodge Ram continued to travel westbound while slowly drifting towards the southbound ditch. The Dodge Ram then traveled through the ditch and into a house.
The lone occupant, a 72-year-old Coloma man, was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
A 21-year-old man from Winneconne was not injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
