WAUKESHA (CBS58)-Local security expert Brian Dorow predicts that those who host open air venue events will soon have to provide a security plan before getting a permit.
The Dean of Criminal Justice at Waukesha County Technical College also says that after the Texas church shooting, several local churches have been seeking his advice on whether armed guards are necessary.
"Everything is on the table," Dorow tells CBS 58 News. "Everybody should be talking about safety, more so than every before."
When asked if he is telling pastors to put somebody with a gun at the door?
"I would refer to that pastor. What's best for them. I've been contacted by churches who are actively looking at the best practices out there. This is new territory."
Dorow says he doesn't want to dictate what churches and organizations do.
But he does want them to take a hard look at security and now.
