WISCONSIN (CBS 58) – The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) has filed a lawsuit with the state supreme court against State Superintendent and democratic gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers.
The Conservative Policy Group says Evers and the DPI are not following a new state law called the REINS Act which gives the legislature more control over state agencies.
The suit says Evers has enacted new education rules policies without the Department of Administration or the governor’s approval.
WILL is representing two school board members and two public school teachers. Evers won re-election as state superintendent a year ago and is one of several Democrats vying to go up against Scott Walker in the 2018 Gubernatorial Race.
