KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 16-year-old is pleading not guilty in connection to a deadly double shooting in Kenosha.
On Friday, Martice Fuller appeared in court. During the preliminary hearing, a Kenosha Police detective took the stand to talk about the day of the crime.
Fuller is accused of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend, Kaylie Juga, in her Kenosha home on May 9. Authorities say Fuller then shot Juga's mom, who has since been released from the hospital.
Fuller left the scene on a bike he had stashed before the shooting, but turned himself into police the next day. Fuller had been kicked out of school for making threats against Kaylie.
In court, the detective described what Kaylie's mom heard and saw that day.
"She heard Kaylie scream, heard gunshots, she went into Kaylie's room and observed who she indicated was Martice Fuller," Det. Jason Kenesie said. "Then at that point, Martice Fuller shot a gun at her."
Fuller faces life in prison. He is due back in court in July.
