The jury is getting its first look at evidence in the trial of Dominique Heaggan-Brown. Brown is the former Milwaukee Police officer charged in the shooting death of Sylville Smith last summer.
The prosecution called its first witness, a special agent with the Department of Justice. With the help of photos and video, he described what was found at the scene which included Smith's body, shell casings and Smith's gun.
Smith's family was also in courtroom and had trouble viewing some of the evidence.
Body camera footage has not yet been shown in court.
