UPDATE: MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee County Transit System says a bus driver followed the proper protocol after a passenger claimed to have a bomb.

The man made the claim when he was getting off the bus near Fond du Lac and Roosevelt in Milwaukee last night.

The driver called MCTS dispatch, then dispatch notified police.

MCTS says bus drivers go through Homeland Security training to watch for anything suspicious.

"If the even suspect, better be safe than sorry. If they, some passenger, or just someone on the street, someone saying something that appears to be dangerous, they are told to contact our dispatch office, they have a direct line to 911," said MCTS Communication Director Brendan Conway.

MCTS says the bus was back in service about two hours later. Police didn't find anything when they searched the bus. No one was hurt.
