MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Building a family isn't always a straight line. For people who experience infertility, the journey can include years of treatment, heartbreak, financial strain, and questions about what comes next.
Now, a new exhibition at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design's Frederick Layton Gallery is giving those experiences a voice. It's called "In a State of IF."
We're joined by Maria Novotny, a co-curator of the exhibition. The exhibition will be open during Gallery Night Oct. 16 and runs through Nov. 21.
