MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man is now charged in the deadly shooting of a Milwaukee mother. 

Prosecutors say 41-year-old Tavarris Jones shot and killed the mother of his children, 42-year-old Kazzie Ference, at a home near 77th and Carmen on Oct. 10.

According to the criminal complaint, one of the woman's children saw the shooting happen, and another child found their mother afterwards and called 911.

The complaint says Ference died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to a medical examiner's report. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jones is charged with first degree intentional homicide. Court records show he's due in court for an initial appearance Wednesday, Oct. 14.
