A group of Milwaukee senior citizens got a crash course in cell phone technology today.
"I want em' to think that I'm cool too."
Cassie Downer was part of the crowd at the Clinton Rose Senior Center today who got special training in the use of smartphones from AT&T. You know the stereotype about older people being afraid of technology? That's changing.
"This is an emerging market in terms of use of smartphones and cell phones or tablets. They're gaining more and more interest in them as they're able to communicate with their family members and with their grandchildren," said Dextra Hadnot, AT&T Director of Government Affairs.
"My granddaughter, who's three, she has her own phone. I don't know nothing about it so I want to be able to learn something," said Cassie Downer.
Today's technology training session was free and hopefully, it will result in a lot of happy calls between grandparents and grandkids.
