MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For the 10th consecutive year, House of Harley Davidson hosted their ride to raise money for the Wisconsin Chapter of "Concerns of Police Survivors" (WI C.O.P.S.).
Each year, at least 140 officers die in the line of duty and this non-profit provides resources to help their families rebuild their lives following the tragic loss.
"Everybody that's here knows that they're here to support an officer who was lost in the line of duty," said WI C.O.P.S. President JoAnn Mignon. "Their loved one gave their life for their community and for all of these people to come back and support them, there's no way you can put that into words."
The organization was founded in 1984 and today's membership is over 54,000 survivors.
