Limitations are no obstacle at LifeStriders in Waukesha. This non-profit organization specializes in helping those with special needs rise above any challenge. One of the big ways this is done is through therapeutic horse riding. Hundreds of people, from an early age to senior citizens, have taken advantage of this activity. Organizers say riding a horse has so many benefits because they actually move in a way similar to humans.
Beside horses, there are other programs at LifeStriders, including social skills groups, counseling services, and veterans programs. This coming Saturday, the non-profit has its annual fundraiser called "Boots and Bling." They're hoping to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the organization.
