MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Shipping deadlines are here for the United States Postal Service (USPS). If you want your package to make it to its destination by Christmas, Monday, Dec. 19, is the last day to send it Priority Mail.
But if you're still doing some last-minute shopping, you can make sure your packages arrive on time by shipping next-day air mail at the post office.
The deadline for next day air is Thursday, Dec. 22.
For UPS and Fed Ex, the deadline for next-day shipping is Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, to make sure your package arrives by Christmas.
At the USPS in West Allis Monday, Toni Armbruster was cutting it down to the wire. But she says her packages couldn't go out any sooner.
"I am shipping Christmas cookies to family in Arizona and Florida," said Armbruster.
And her family was baking up until last night to make it happen.
"My kids and I, and my husband, baked cookies for the last 10-11." she said. "We made peanut butter blossoms; I made some rum balls for the adults; My daughter makes these party cookies which are cherry with some chocolate on them."
If you decide to drop something in a post office mailbox, make sure you read the times of when it will be picked up.
