FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A group of 145 people played golf at Tuckaway Country Club Monday morning, Aug. 7, in the 47th Annual MACC Fund Open.
This is a fundraiser to raise money for the organization's efforts to support childhood cancer research.
"It's amazing. To, on a Monday morning, people taking off of work to be here to support the MACC Fund and what we do -- it's all about hope," said Becky Pinter, MACC Fund president and CEO.
One of the golfers was CBS 58's own Scott Grodsky.
This event has raised more than $2.3 million over the years and as CEO Becky Pinter points out, cancer rates for childhood cancer have gone up dramatically during that time.
