Get out the trash: 'Project Clean and Green' begins for zone 2 in Milwaukee on Monday
City of Milwaukee MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- 'Project Clean and Green' begins tomorrow for zone two in Milwaukee.
That includes the city's far south and southwest sides.
Project Clean and Green is a citywide neighborhood cleanup program that offers a scheduled opportunity to dispose of household items.
This year, you have a chance to get rid of items damaged by flooding.
You're asked to place accepted items like furniture, mattresses and household materials out on your regular garbage collection day.
The Department of Public Works will not be picking up appliances, tires, TVs and other electronics along with a variety of hazardous material. They ask you use DPW Drop Off Centers to dispose of those items.
You can find the complete list of what the DPW will not be taking here.
