ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The former St. Francis High School JV baseball coach accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child pleaded not guilty in court Friday, June 20. 

Thirty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Wuerl is facing multiple felony charges. 

Investigators say he sexually abused a now-17-year-old family member who is not a blood relative, since she was seven or eight years old. 

During his initial hearing last Friday, the state said Wuerl did not confess but said, "She's not lying," and that he "probably did it but doesn't remember it."

His next court appearance is July 24.
