MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A child is in the hospital after being injured in a shooting on Milwaukee's northwest side Wednesday, April 29. 

Milwaukee police say that around 7 p.m. they responded to the area of N. 57th and Locust St. for a report of a shooting. 

A 9-year-old arrived at a local hospital for treatment of injuries. 

The incident is under investigation and police are seeking out unknown suspect(s).
