MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A former Milwaukee police officer who had his rape conviction overturned has been released.
Ladmarald Cates' conviction stemmed from an incident in 2010 when he was responding to a 911 call from a woman and then allegedly raped her.
Earlier this year, a federal appeals court ruled that Cates is entitled to a new trial because his attorneys provided ineffective assistance.
