Milwaukee County wants to help you with your utility bills.
The Winter Moratorium ends April 15th so the county is offering a $300 down payment when customers sign up for a utility payment plan this month only. The county says it's a good chance for people to catch up on their bills.
"People will start getting disconnection notices which can kind of put your household in a panic. So we want people to come in now while they still have some options and we can help them get that taken care of and make a good payment plan for themselves."
The county says it's helping 70,000 households with energy assistance.
