MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Many people in Milwaukee spent several hours clearing off their cars and driveways after the first big snowfall of the winter, Wednesday, Dec. 30.
The sound of snowblowers is often heard in the winter in Milwaukee. However, the noise was heard all over the city for the first time this winter after the first big snowfall.
"I guess you say frustrating, because you have to start and stop with the snowblowers because it can't handle it," Milwaukee resident Geoff Keele said.
Keele says because the snow is very wet and thick, tackling it was challenging even with a snowblower.
Some say they were not ready for the snow.
"It's my first winter in Milwaukee and I didn't think it was going to be this much," Milwaukee resident Collin Regalia said.
Regalia says he didn't have a choice though, and he had to wake up early to dig himself out.
"I have to be to work by six," Regalia said.
He says it was a lot of work trying to make sure he wasn't late.
"This is ridiculous," Regalia said. "The plows will just plow you right in."
Keele is keeping a positive attitude though.
"This is probably the thickest I've seen it, but we'll get through it," he said.
