Dane County Sheriff's Office reminding drivers to move over after two incidents Tuesday evening

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorist to move over for emergency vehicles and give county snow plows adequate room, after two incidents Tuesday night.

Just before 7 p.m., a Dane County deputy was helping a car that slid in the ditch on US Highway 151 near County Highway MM in Verona, when he was rear-ended by another car. The deputy was not injured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the other car was ticketed.

Just a few minutes later, a Dane County plow driver reported a hit-and-run after a blue jeep crashed into the wing of the snow plow on Highway 151 at County Highway F in Blue Mounds. The driver of the Jeep kept driving south on Highway 151. No injuries were reported.
