Man charged in hit-and-run that killed Watertown father of 3
GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Green Bay third grader thought she was just demonstrating her piano skills to her classmates at lunch on Friday, but she ended up playing for a surprise guest.
What Izzy Georgia didn't know was that entering stage right was her dad -- a Wisconsin National Guard member who has been deployed to Afghanistan for more than a year.
"It was great for the family. She was shocked. She didn't know if she should stop playing because she was told to play the song," said Anthony Pinchuk, Platoon Leader, Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Izzy finished her song and now, they get to spend the holidays as a family.
There's also more good news -- Pinchuk's platoon is off its active duty orders so he will be home for the foreseeable future.
