MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- More than 1,000 people showed up to protest at the state Capitol in Madison Tuesday, May 3, over the possibility abortion rights could be eliminated.
The large crowd of people mobilized at the Capitol and then marched down State Street.
Many of those who attended, old and young, say they came out to make themselves heard and stand in support of abortion access.
"I'm just disappointed in the state of our country," said Suzy Rockafellow.
"Ruling this decision to target and oppress a certain group of people and it feels really personal," said Lily Greich.
"It's incredible to think everything we fought for, that my daughter might not have this right," said Karen Laing.
Abortion rights groups that planned the march said this likely will not be their last.
