MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Cars lined up to receive the holiday gift of food on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School held their second annual Advent Service Project in partnership with Feeding America to give away food to local families in need.

Students, staff, and volunteers came together to package 800 boxes of food.

"We were out of those boxes within a couple hours. We feel like we've met the need...we wish there wasn't this need in the community, but we're happy we could help some people have a better Christmas because of it," said Andrew Stith, President of Cristo Ray Jesuit High School.

The boxes were filled with peanut butter, rice, beans, potatoes, cereal, and more.
