Crean's Hoosiers pin first loss on Badgers

BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA - Wisconsin's run at perfection was stopped by a team coached by a familiar face in this state.

Tom Crean's Indiana Hoosiers gave the Badgers their first loss of the 2013-14 season, 75-72 in Bloomington Tuesday night. Yogi Ferrell scored 25 for Indiana.

Traevon Jackson scored 21 to lead Wisconsin, including the first nine Badgers points of the second half. Wisconsin opened up a 10 point lead on Sam Dekker's three pointer midway through the second half, but Indiana immediately went on a 12-0 run and reclaimed the lead minutes later.

The Badgers, down three in the final seconds, had two chances to tie the game, but Jackson and Ben Brust each missed potential game-tying shots. Brust finished with 13 points. Josh Gasser and Frank Kaminsky added 11 each, while Dekker scored 10.

The Badgers fall to 16-1 with the loss. Wisconsin plays host to Michigan this Saturday at 5:00 at Kohl Center.
