Community members gather to call for Great Lakes funding

Cause for concern and hope along Milwaukee's lakefront Monday morning.

The Sierra Club is urging voters to let Congress know they don't support cuts to the budgets of the EPA and the Department of the Interior.

Hearings could happen in the House as early as next week.

Organizers of the demonstration, which included holding hands, say this is one issue that has bi-partisan support.

They noted that Governor Scott Walker has come out against President Trump's plan to whittle away at the budget of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
