College Resource Fair for Students scheduled for October 17

A College Resource Fair will take place for students in grades 6-12 on October 17 at North Division High School.

The event will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM at 1011 West Center Street.

“The College Resource Fair is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the many career prospects that await them,” Alderman Russell Stamper said. “Our youth are an invaluable asset to the community, and this event will educate them on the many resources available to help them harness their potential in order to build successful careers.”

The event is an effort to empower students and their families with viable career options after high school. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the military, local universities and community/technical colleges.

The College Resource Fair will have workshops on financial aid information, the Milwaukee Fire Department Cadet program and the TRiO Program.

Representatives from the Milwaukee Area Technical College will also discuss the MATC Promise program, which provides a free college education to eligible seniors.
