Claire Sardina performs as 'Thunder After Lightning' in Brookfield special tribute event
CBS 58 BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It was take two for the live tribute "Thunder After Lightning" concert in Brookfield Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 1.
After an unexpected postponement, fans of the Neil Diamond cover band Lightning & Thunder were at Ruby Commons Tuesday to see Claire "Thunder" Sardina take the stage in a special tribute event featuring Toney Luciano.
After the show, people got to meet Sardina, take pictures, and get memorabilia signed. Organizers say everyone was thrilled to have her.
"Overwhelming. Absolutely overwhelming," said Jason Soloninka, executive director of Capri Communities. "They love it, they're happy, they're clapping, they're dancing. It's such a good vibe to have her here."
Thunder & Lightning blew up again last year when Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman played Claire Sardina and her late husband, Mike "Lightning" Sardina, in the movie Song Sung Blue.
