Church opens doors for 72 hours during cold snap

MILWAUKEE- A local church is staying open for 72 hours straight in order to have a warm spot for the less fortunate who may be stuck in the cold.

The Desatar Ministry on the city's South side opened their doors at noon on Sunday and will keep them open until noon on Wednesday.

Along with a heated space, the church will be providing food and clothing donations to those who need them.

Volunteers will be working 2 hour shifts in order to make it to the 72 hour mark.

The church said on Sunday they still need volunteers.
