Bucks Foundation Golf Outing helps support Milwaukee Diaper Mission

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As the team gets ready for a new season, the Milwaukee Bucks teed off at The Bog in Saukville for the 7th Annual Milwaukee Bucks Foundation Golf Outing.

The event brings Bucks alumni, team executives and front office staff together to raise money for the foundation, with the goal of improving outcomes for underserved groups in Milwaukee.

This year's outing has a focus on helping parents with the high cost of raising a new baby.

"One of the really cool things we get to do this year with our Bucks Foundation Golf Outing is use our platform to bring attention to needs in our community," said Arvind Gopalratnam, executive director for the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation. "And so this year, we are doing a diaper drive to help support the Milwaukee Diaper Mission. And so golfers today are bringing diapers to also help that issue in our community as well."

In the last seven years since the foundation's start, they've donated more than $3 million to nonprofits across Wisconsin.
