Brewers, MLB announce donation to Milwaukee Baseball Club ahead of World Series

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Ahead of Game 1 of the World Series, the Milwaukee Brewers and Major League Baseball are teaming up to help grow the game in Milwaukee.

Representatives from both organizations gathered Friday at the Milwaukee Baseball Club as part of the MLB Together program, announcing a major donation that will allow the club to add a new HitTrax machine for players to use.

The Milwaukee Baseball Club, located near South 38th Street and West Mitchell Street, works to make baseball more accessible to low-income families and children of color.

Brewers Community Foundation Executive Director Cecelia Gore said the investment is designed to provide lasting resources for young athletes and families in the community.

"For Milwaukee, these projects are about investing in the next generation," Gore said. "Whether through improvements to community spaces, youth baseball and softball opportunities, or neighborhood enhancements, the goal is to provide resources that will serve families for years to come."

The donation comes as Milwaukee prepares to host Game 1 of the World Series at American Family Field.
