Badgers, without "A" game, still win ninth straight

Wisconsin scored just 24 points in the second half and shot just 39% for the game Wednesday night at Penn State, but they did enough to hold off a pesky Nittany Lions squad 55-47.

Sam Dekker's 22 points led Wisconsin, who won their ninth straight game and went to 24-2 overall, 12-1 in the Big Ten with the victory. Frank Kaminsky added 16 points on just 4-of-12 shooting.

D.J. Newbill scored 29 to lead Penn State. No other Nittany Lion scored in the game's first 15 minutes.

Nigel Hayes added 9 points and 13 rebounds for Wisconsin, who hosts Minnesota Saturday.
