MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's all about the ink in downtown Milwaukee this weekend. The Milwaukee Tattoo Arts Festival is taking over the Baird Center.
Now in its 15th year, the convention hall is buzzing with the sound of tattoo guns and the sight of artists celebrating their craft.
Some of the artists traveled from across the country to be here, saying the festival isn't just about showing off their work - it's about meeting new clients and connecting with Milwaukee's tattoo community.
"To do these year after year and to come back to a city, you get to reconnect with those people after a year, and they remember you like it was yesterday," said Tattoo Artist Ray V. from Houston, Texas. "It is a different feeling than at your regular shot, you know?"
The festival runs until 11 p.m. today, Oct. 4 and reopens back up at Baird Center at 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20.
