Another Arctic Blast...Get Ready!

The freezer door has once again been opened in Canada.  The leading edge of the cold air has already moved into the United States.  Temperatures have dropped into the single digits across northwestern portions of Minnesota.

The arctic air will take about a day to move into southeastern Wisconsin.  Our winds have already turned northwest tonight, and we will see temperatures fall into the lower 20s by Saturday morning.  Low-level moisture and some drying aloft around 10,000 ft could produce some drizzle.  With surface temperatures around 30 there could be patchy areas of freezing drizzle tonight, so please use caution with travel.

Saturday night into Sunday morning temperatures will hover around 0 with wind chills around -20!  Highs on Sunday will only climb into the single digits, but strong winds will keep wind chills around -15 all day.

Thankfully the pattern will dramatically shift by next weekend.  Highs in the 30s and possibly 40 degrees can't be ruled out.  Wouldn't that be nice for a possible NFC Championship game?  Stay tuned.
