MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A celebration fit for a princess took place Tuesday morning for a 13-year-old girl battling a brain tumor.
It was part of her wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Iyanna Boose was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was eight years old. Since then she has had more than four brain surgeries and is now halfway through her chemo treatments.
On Tuesday, Iyanna and her family were given a pizza party and surprised with a trip to Disney World.
“There are nine of us; seven children and two adults, my husband and I,” says Iyanna’s mom, Toni Boose. “We’ve never been on a vacation and to be granted to go to Disney World it’s like wow! It’s something that right now we’re not able to give our children ourselves”.
“I was happy,” says Iyanna. “I didn’t know it was going to be this big. I thought it was just going to be talking”.
Potawatomi’s Heart of Canal Street and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are sponsoring the trip.
Watch more on Iyanna’s journey later this week on CBS 58 Sunday Morning.
