8 adults kayaking on Milwaukee River in West Bend rescued after kayaks overturn

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Around noon on Sunday West Bend Police were called to Riverside Park along the Milwaukee River for a report of overturned kayaks.
An officer in the area was flagged down by one of eight adults kayaking in the river who said that two of the kayaks overturned and the kayaks were missing.
When officers responded they learned that all eight adults had overturned in the river.
No one was injured and the kayaks were recovered.
Police are using the incident to remind the public to stay off the river due to faster river currents and higher water levels.
