MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A few hours after Mayor Barrett biked to work, he was outside taking a walk through downtown Milwaukee to kick off his annual campaign to walk 100 miles in 100 days.
It's something he started in 2013 to promote healthier choices. Mayor Barrett believes walking together can improve our bodies and strengthen our communities.
"The more we have the opportunity to go to different neighborhoods, the more we can appreciate the rich diversity in this city, how great people are and how much people want this to be a better place for us to live," said Mayor Barrett.
