2 injured in separate shootings Monday night

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shootings that left people injured. 

The first happened around 10:30 p.m. near Mariners St. and Calumet Rd. in Milwaukee.

The victim, a 16-year-old Milwaukee child, sustained non-fatal injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.

The victim arrived at a local hospital for treatment

Another shooting happened around 11 p.m. near Layton Blvd and Evergreen Ln.

A 59-year-old Milwaukee man sustained non-fatal injuries. 

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

Police believe the shooting was the result of an armed robbery.
