MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Students in Milwaukee are opening up about their experiences with crime and violence. Monday, April 25, marks the beginning of "Youth Victory Over Violence Week" at Milwaukee Excellence Charter High School.
Local youth groups will talk to kids about reckless driving, bullying, and mental health.
One student said she's worried about her classmates going down the wrong road.
"Most of the cars and stealing is Black kids. I feel like some of the kids in our school are pushed towards this is life you should be living. And I think this program shows them the affects of what they're causing," said a student at Milwaukee Excellence Charter High School.
May 1 marks the beginning of Violence Prevention Month in Milwaukee.
