Woman Suffers Life-threatening Injures in Pedestrian/Vehicle Accident

A 31-year-old woman was severely injured when she was struck by a pick-up truck as she was crossing a Milwaukee street to reach her parked car. According to the Milwaukee Police, around 9:15 PM, the woman was crossing S Kinnickinnic Avenue in mid block near W Mitchell Street when she was struck by a 1998 Sonoma pick-up truck driven by a 30-year-old Milwaukee man. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is considered life threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. At this point in the investigation, the Police do not believe alcohol played a factor in the accident.
