Woman dies in single-vehicle crash in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A driver is dead after crashing on State Highway 28 in the Town of Scott early Friday, July 16. 

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says just after 6 a.m., they received a 911 call for a report of a vehicle in the woods off State Highway 28, north of Lone Pine Road. 

Upon arrival, officers determined the driver was entrapped and had died. It was determined they were heading northbound and exited the roadway, rolled, and struck some trees. 

Officials say the driver as a woman in her mid-20s. Her name is being withheld until family is notified. 

The cause and nature of the crash is under investigation. 

The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by Silver Creek and Random Lake Fire Departments, and Orange Cross Ambulance.
