Woman Arrested for Drunk Driving after Crashing with Three Kids in Car

On St. Patrick's Day on Friday, at 11:25 PM, 31-year-old Milwaukee woman April Fisher, was involved in a crash on the I-41 northbound on ramp at National Avenue after she crossed the median and struck a utility pole.

Three children under the age of 16 were in the vehicle, and suffered injuries requiring transport to the hospital. There was also an adult passenger.

Fisher said she was drinking at a family member’s house and had eight shots of tequila and beer.

Fisher faces charges of DUI Causing Injury, DUI with Passenger Under 16 Years of Age, Injury by Intoxicated Use of Motor Vehicle.

If convicted, Fisher faces up to 14 years in prison.
