West Allis Central High School dismissed early due to multiple threats

CBS 58 WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Multiple anonymous threats forced West Allis Central High School to dismiss students and staff early on Friday, Nov. 14.
According to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District, the high school implemented the early dismissal out of abundance of caution to ensure the safety of students, staff and community.
Officials say the threats were made to the West Allis Police Department's non-emergency hotline shortly after 8:45 a.m., and the decision was made to release students early for the day.
"The safety of students is of the utmost importance to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. The district and police department have a strong working relationship and prepare in advance for these types of situations. We thank the students, staff and families for their cooperation in making sure everyone stays safe during this unfortunate incident,"
