West Allis Central High School dismissed early due to multiple threats
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Multiple anonymous threats forced West Allis Central High School to dismiss students and staff early on Friday, Nov. 14.
According to the West Allis Police Department, they received a call to their non-emergency line around 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, where the caller made threats towards West Allis Central High School. Law enforcement received several more calls over the next several minutes with similar threats. An investigation was started, and the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District was notified.
According to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District, the high school implemented the early dismissal out of abundance of caution to ensure the safety of students, staff and community. West Allis police responded to the school during the dismissal to ensure the students safety.
An investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact officials at (414) 302-8000.
