Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Stealth
July has been the rainiest month so far since the Spring season started.
We sit about a half inch above normal to date on July rainfall. However, the previous months were moisture starved and our deficit since April 1st sits over six inches. Even the snowy end to winter doesn't counter the small deficit on precipitation since the beginning of the year. This might be a slow race to get back up to speed. But at least with today's weekly drought monitor the extreme contour has receded a bit and our eastern locations have gone down to moderate over severe drought. That was mainly due to last Wednesday's rain where locations picked up one to two inches of much needed rainfall. Showers are ending now which have mainly only impacted Sheboygan county. In the days ahead we have small chances for late afternoon and evening showers on Friday. Then a decent chance at pop up showers and storms Saturday. And about a coin flip on pop up storms Sunday. While we do not expect severe storms, you may have to take it indoors at least briefly as any storms pop over your hometown.I'm meteorologist Rebecca Schuld
