MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The snow over the weekend provided a new logistical challenge in the COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
Pharmacist Hashim Zaibak with Hayat Pharmacy says they had about 100 people cancel their vaccine appointments Sunday because of the snow.
They worked through their waitlist to fill up those appointments. They also had about 30 walk-in appointments.
"Because of the restrictions, we can only administer it to people who are in the health care field or 65 and older, but we did end up making a lot of phone calls and we did end up using every single dose, we did not waste a single dose this weekend," said Zaibak.
Hayat says those who canceled will be back at the top of the waitlist.
