Wauwatosa PD Receive ATV from Firehouse Subs

A local sub shop gave a generous gift to the Wauwatosa Police Department.

Firehouse Subs, which has its own public safety foundation, gave the Tosa PD an off-road utility vehicle. The $20,000 vehicle courtesy of Firehouse Subs allows officers to get in the hard to reach places where so often pursuits or rescues happen.

\"It's going to allow us to patrol our bike paths, and our parks in a way that we can't with our traditional vehicles. It allow us to get back into the corners of the parks and our various attractions in our city and patrol,\" says Lt. Paul Leist.

The police department is paying it forward by giving an ATV they already have to the fire department which will be modified to fit a stretcher.
