Waukesha School District Students Found Sexting

Waukesha School District school parents were notified that minor students were using personal cell phone and computing devices to share nude photographs and explicit videos of themselves.

On Wednesday a High School Resource Officers became aware of the situation. 

These images were shared using the following apps: Keepsafe, Photo vault, Ky-calc, Secret calculator, Photo locker, I-message, Facebook messenger, Kik, Snapchat and Secret Vault.

According to Waukesha School District, many of these apps appear as a calculator that when the proper code is entered, the photos are able to be accessed.   Again, these images have been shared using personal devices such as smart phones and personal computers.  These images have been captured during non-school time and not on school property.  

As a result of this information and in cooperation with the Waukesha Police Department, the district is reaching out to families ?to share that the police are asking families ?to ?keep an eye on the personal devices of their children.

At this time, the police are working to capture the images that are going around to protect the identity of the minors involved.
