Waukesha County beaches transitioning to "swim at your own risk" season

The lifeguard-staffed beach season comes to an end mid-August in Waukesha County, as children and lifeguard staff start heading back to school. With the inclusion of Fox Brook and Menomonee Park beaches for the first time, all Waukesha County Park beaches will transition to “swim at your own risk” following the lifeguard-staffed beach season.

The 2017 end-of-beach season schedule is as follows:

Naga-Waukee Park

Staffed with lifeguards - 11am to 7pm daily through Wednesday, August 9 at 7pm.

Swim at your own risk - Thursday, August 10 to September 30.

Menomonee and Muskego Parks

Staffed with lifeguards - 11am to 7pm daily through Wednesday, August 16 at 7pm

Swim at your own risk - Thursday, August 17 to September 30.

Fox Brook Park

Staffed with lifeguards - 11am to 7pm daily through Wednesday, August 23 at 7pm.

Swim at your own risk - Thursday, August 24 to Labor Day - September 4, 2017.

Watercraft Rentals through High Rollers, LLC, will be available through September 30.

Minooka and Mukwonago Parks

Continue Swim at your own Risk through September 30.

“Swim at your own risk” hours are sunrise to sunset. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for watching their children; Water Quality testing (E.coli) will continue and Water Quality signs will be posted per Waukesha County Policy and Procedures; All swimmers must stay within area designated by rope and buoys; Park staff will conduct regular daily maintenance of the beach, restrooms, and surrounding area.

County Park entrance fees are $4/car every day. Use of the beach is included in the park entrance fee.
